Ilia Topuria is back home recovering after a brutal night at UFC White House.
The former champion suffered serious damage in his loss to Justin Gaethje.

Ilia Topuria was taken to hospital after the fight and later released following treatment.

Orbital fractures confirmed

Reports from Marca state Topuria suffered orbital fractures in both eyes during the bout, with the right eye worse affected.

The injury came in his technical knockout loss to Justin Gaethje in the lightweight title main event in Washington, D.C.

Early projections suggest a long recovery, with a return not expected until 2027.

Dana White on immediate medical response

UFC CEO Dana White said Topuria was rushed for medical evaluation right after the stoppage.

“We literally had him get out of the Octagon before the hand was even raised and sent him to the hospital.”

“He’s busted up. I’m not a doctor, but his eye looked like he probably has a broken orbital. I don’t know that; that’s not a fact. I’m just assuming.”

Topuria’s first career loss leaves his next move uncertain as he recovers from surgery-level injuries.
