Jake Paul’s push into mixed martial arts continues to attract attention across the sport. Following the announcement that Most Valuable Promotions and the PFL will operate under one banner, former UFC title challenger Kevin Lee has volunteered to help the new venture grow, even if it means working for free.
Lee Wants to Join MVP MMA’s Next Chapter
Paul has made it clear that he wants MVP MMA to become a major player in the sport after finding success in boxing promotion. The company’s first MMA event took place earlier this year, and its partnership with the PFL marks another major step in that vision.
Lee wrote on X that he believes the timing is right to help expand the promotion and raise the profile of its fighters.
“I want to get involved with PFL / MVP now that it’s @MostVpromotions.”
He explained that his interest goes beyond his own fighting career.
“I think I can really add some promotion to the media for the other fighters.”
Lee also praised the UFC’s role in growing MMA while expressing confidence that MVP MMA can continue building on that momentum.
“No doubt the UFC has taken things to incredible heights.”
“With the right approach, @jakepaul and MVP can make the future brighter.”
Former UFC Title Challenger Offers to Work for Free
Lee challenged for the UFC interim lightweight championship against Tony Ferguson at UFC 216 but has experienced an up-and-down run since then. The 33-year-old has also competed in the PFL, making him familiar with both organizations that now form the new partnership.
Despite uncertainty surrounding his fighting future, Lee says his priority is contributing to the sport rather than earning a paycheck.
“They don’t have to pay me a dime. I just want to get access and get involved.”
He said the opportunity to be close to elite MMA competition would be enough.
“My motive is to help the sport.”
