Tensions between Dana White and Eddie Hearn reached another level on Saturday night after the UFC boss erupted over recent comments tied to the rumored Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua super fight.
Earlier this week, White claimed he would be involved in promoting the long-awaited heavyweight clash later this year. That immediately drew pushback from Hearn and veteran boxing promoter Frank Warren, both of whom publicly denied any agreement was in place.
Hearn also took aim at White directly. He labeled the UFC president a “clout chaser” and challenged him to “find his b—s,” adding more fuel to an already heated rivalry that has spilled across interviews and social media for months.
Rivalry between White and Hearn keeps escalating
The back-and-forth between the two promoters has become one of combat sports’ most entertaining side stories. Discussions about a potential real fight between White and Hearn have even surfaced publicly in recent months, with multiple promoters jokingly offering to stage the matchup.
White has repeatedly teased deeper involvement in boxing after partnering with Saudi power broker Turki Alalshikh on several projects. Hearn, meanwhile, remains one of the sport’s most visible figures through Matchroom Boxing and Joshua’s career.
For now, the Fury vs. Joshua promotional situation remains unclear. But the war of words between White and Hearn is showing no signs of slowing down.
Dana White snaps back after UFC 328
Following UFC 328 in Newark, White was asked again about his involvement in the Fury vs. Joshua promotion during a backstage interview with IFL TV’s Colm McGuigan.
The real fireworks came moments later when media asked White directly about Hearn calling him a “clout chaser.”
“Promoting Fury and, uh, AJ? Uh, contractually impossible. Let me know when you find your balls. These are his words, not mine. I’m a clout chaser?”
“This fruit loop came out and said he’s the fing biggest fight in boxing, while he has Bam Rodriguez and AJ and all these other fighters, and all the other guys that are out there. He’s the biggest fight in boxing? Those were his words.”
White continued the rant without holding back.
You know what a f***ng fruit loop you gotta be to f***ing say it? Nobody even knew who this guy was four months ago, and now he’s the biggest fight in boxing?.”
