Raja Jackson accepted a plea deal after facing charges of a violent assault on professional wrestler Stuart Smith in 2025.
Court records show Jackson entered a no-contest plea to one felony count of battery causing serious bodily injury. He also admitted to special allegations involving great bodily injury and violent conduct.
Raja, 26, was originally scheduled to appear in court Wednesday for a preliminary hearing setting before reaching the agreement with prosecutors.
According to the District Attorney’s Office, Jackson’s anticipated sentence includes 90 days in county jail, two years of formal probation, and restitution totaling $81,703.38. Sentencing is scheduled for June 22.
Assault Stemmed From Wrestling Event Incident
The case stems from an incident at a Knockx wrestling show in Los Angeles, where Jackson was booked for an appearance involving Smith.
What started as a planned wrestling segment quickly spiraled out of control.
During the altercation, Jackson picked Smith up and slammed him to the mat before unleashing a barrage of punches. Witness footage showed Jackson continuing to strike Smith after he appeared unconscious. Other wrestlers eventually rushed in and pulled Jackson away.
Smith later revealed he suffered major facial injuries during the assault. Those injuries included trauma to both jaws, a fractured maxilla bone, a lacerated lip, and the loss of several teeth.
Before the attack, Smith had accidentally struck Jackson with a beer can during a separate interaction while mistaking him for another wrestler involved in the show. Video later showed Smith apologizing, with both men shaking hands afterward.
Jackson was later captured on a live stream saying he planned to get revenge “for real” before entering the ring for the segment involving Smith.
Police later issued a warrant for Jackson’s arrest after video of the incident circulated online. He initially pleaded not guilty before ultimately agreeing to the plea deal.
