Alex Pereira has grown tired of Josh Hokit’s behavior ahead of UFC Freedom 250, suggesting the heavyweight’s future with the promotion could already be in doubt.
The tension between the two escalated after Hokit allegedly directed an explicit slur at Pereira in a hotel lobby while standing in front of Pereira’s father. The latest incident came after Hokit had previously mocked Pereira’s mother during a press conference.
Pereira Questions Hokit’s UFC Future
Speaking at media day, Pereira hinted that UFC officials may already be considering moving on from Hokit.
“We can’t remove him from the card on Sunday; he’s already in there, so he’s going to fight”.
“But I’ve just heard some things and I don’t even know if he’s going to be a part of this organization going forward,”
“There’s a huge audience that watches this, children, families, and a lot of things that he does and says are just very disrespectful.”
Pereira is set to face Ciryl Gane in the UFC Freedom 250 co-main event, while Hokit remains on the card despite UFC CEO Dana White previously expressing his disapproval of the heavyweight’s antics.
