Josh Hokit is showing no signs of backing down from the controversy that followed his UFC Freedom 250 victory.
The undefeated heavyweight prospect remains at the center of attention after calling First Lady Michelle Obama “a man” during his post-fight interview.
The remarks drew widespread criticism across the MMA community and prompted reactions from several prominent figures, including UFC CEO Dana White and former two-division champion Daniel Cormier.
Daniel Cormier Calls Out Hokit’s Comments
Cormier addressed the situation earlier this week and expressed disappointment with both Hokit’s remarks and the persona he has presented since arriving in the UFC.
“He started his post-fight interview, and he was going to do one of those gimmicky things that honestly I think is lame.”
Cormier felt the heavyweight missed an opportunity to win over viewers following another impressive performance inside the Octagon.
“He needs to do better because it looks like he’s going to have a good career in UFC, and he’s going to have a ton of time to work his way toward the championship, or at least fight for it.”
Hokit Responds on Social Media
It did not take long for Hokit to answer back. The rising heavyweight took to social media and targeted Cormier directly after hearing the former champion’s comments.
“I’ve been nothing but nice to this fat cow pig,”
“I’m not here for unity, in reality there will never be unity … I come to divide people’s faces … if you don’t like it, then come do something about it.”
The exchange quickly added another chapter to the growing backlash surrounding Hokit’s post-fight remarks.
Controversy Continues to Follow UFC Heavyweight Prospect
Dana White publicly criticized Hokit’s comments shortly after UFC Freedom 250, describing them as “nasty and false.”
Since then, Hokit has continued to push back against critics rather than distance himself from the controversy. The heavyweight has remained firm in his stance while drawing both support and criticism from fans.
Inside the cage, Hokit’s momentum remains intact. He is still unbeaten and continues to emerge as one of the most talked-about prospects in the UFC heavyweight division.
