Josh Hokit is pushing back after Alex Pereira made comments suggesting the heavyweight’s future in the UFC may not be guaranteed ahead of UFC White House.

During media day, Pereira addressed his ongoing issues with Hokit and hinted that he may not remain in the promotion long-term. He did not give details, but suggested uncertainty around Hokit’s UFC status despite him being booked to fight on the card.

Hokit Says Contract Speaks for Itself

Hokit quickly dismissed the idea in a Vlog Series of UFC that he is on shaky ground with the UFC, pointing to his recent contract and performances.

“Pereira could say whatever.”

“When you put on a fight like how I put on last fight, I mean, I don’t think I’m going anywhere. I just signed an eight-fight contract as well, so he’s just talking just to talk.”

Hokit, still unbeaten in the UFC heavyweight division, added that his focus remains inside the cage rather than outside comments.

“Maybe he’s running away. Maybe he’s scared.”

“Maybe he hopes that Dana White kicks me out. It doesn’t matter what I say, because the most important thing is still what these fists talking about.”
