Tom Nolan scored the biggest win of his UFC career at UFC Vegas 118, defeating Fares Ziam via unanimous decision at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The result snapped Ziam’s six-fight win streak while extending Nolan’s run to five straight wins.
The fight opened at a fast pace with both men trading in the pocket. Nolan mixed in scrambles, clinch work, and a spinning elbow that helped him stay competitive in a back-and-forth opening round.
Ziam had success early in round two, but Nolan’s pressure and cage control started to take over. A key sequence from Nolan shifted momentum as he gained top position and stayed active on the ground.
In the final round, Ziam briefly threatened with a takedown and back control, but Nolan escaped and finished stronger with ground strikes.
All three judges scored the bout for Nolan after 15 competitive minutes.
