Brendan Allen extended his win streak to three with a hard-fought victory over Edmen Shahbazyan via unanimous decision at UFC Vegas 118.
Allen pushed the pace from the start, applying constant pressure and mixing strikes with clinch work. Shahbazyan had moments with his jab and counters, but he struggled to keep Allen off him for long stretches.
The fight shifted in Allen’s favor as his volume and forward pressure wore Shahbazyan down. A cut opened near Shahbazyan’s eye in the final round as Allen kept him pinned against the cage and landed consistent elbows and punches.
Allen closed strong with a late takedown, securing a clear win after three rounds of sustained pressure.

In the post-fight interview, his gameplan was to move forward and put pressure all along, and it quite complimented the outcome of the fight.
“That’s what I tried to do. I’m a dog. I’m a real dog. I come here to fight. I come to put on a show for you guys. No matter what you say, no matter who talks sh*t about me, no matter what, Im’ma come out here every time, and I’m gonna put it all on the line, and I’m gonna f*ck someone up.”
He also added what is his next preferred fight.
“I want the belt. You heard the man… If Usman and Dricus fight, let me get the winner. Maybe they won’t duck so much. October seems like a good time.”
He now has 14 wins in Middleweight history; earning the 5th spot, just right above UFC Legends Michael Bisping, Brad Tavares, Anderson Silva, and Robert Whittaker.
