Darren Till’s first appearance in BKFC featured a little bit of everything.
The former UFC title challenger was dropped early by Aaron Chalmers but recovered quickly and produced a highlight-reel finish to score a statement victory in the co-main event of BKFC 90.
Till ended the fight just 22 seconds into the second round with a crushing left hand that left Chalmers unable to beat the count.
Chalmers Strikes First in Opening Round
The fight began with Chalmers using constant movement while looking to keep Till guessing. The former UFC standout remained patient and searched for openings behind his jab.
A breakthrough came for Chalmers midway through the opening frame.
A sharp left hook landed clean and sent Till down to one knee, forcing the referee to issue a mandatory standing eight count. It marked an encouraging start for Chalmers, who entered the contest with a perfect 2-0 record in BKFC competition.
Despite the setback, Till showed no signs of panic as he returned to his corner.
Till Responds With Devastating Knockout
Any momentum Chalmers built in the first round disappeared almost immediately after the second began.
As Chalmers continued moving his head and circling, Till found the opening he had been waiting for. He launched a perfectly timed left hand that connected flush and instantly changed the fight.
Chalmers crashed to the canvas and remained down as the referee administered the count. Although he was given every opportunity to continue, the damage was evident and the bout was waved off.
The knockout secured Till’s first victory under the BKFC banner and instantly established him as a serious attraction in the promotion.
Till Calls for More Fights After Statement Debut
The victory sparked an emotional celebration from Till, who made it clear he believes bare-knuckle fighting suits his style.
“I was f*cking made for this shit,” Till shouted after his win.
“I’m built for it.”
Reflecting on the opening round knockdown, Till explained his mindset heading into the second frame.
“I was like I can’t let this little c*nt get this on me. That first round was his and now start letting my hands go.”
With his debut now behind him, Till made it clear he is not interested in easing into his BKFC career.
“[I want to fight] f*cking everyone! I don’t care. I’m not scared of anyone!”
The performance is likely to fuel even more discussion about a potential future clash with Mike Perry, a rivalry that has simmered for years across combat sports.
