Darren Till and Yoel Romero are already generating major interest ahead of their BKFC showdown in Manchester.
The former UFC title challengers have sold more than 5,000 tickets during the early sales period. The strong demand has also prompted the promotion to open additional sections at the AO Arena.
Till and Romero Driving Strong Demand
Till and Romero will headline BKFC 94 on September 26 in Manchester. The matchup has quickly become one of BKFC’s biggest attractions. Till has built a strong following since moving into crossover boxing and bare-knuckle competition, while Romero remains a popular name among combat sports fans.
Their recent faceoff only added to the anticipation. The two fighters spent several minutes locked in an intense staredown before their upcoming clash.
The AO Arena can hold around 23,000 fans, and BKFC now expects the venue to be close to full for the event.
“Tickets are flying for BKFC 94 and this show is going to be an absolute monster,” said CEO David Feldman. “We’ve already had to expand our expected capacity at the venue and the place is going to be absolutely packed on September 26 in Manchester.”
BKFC Eyes Another Major Crowd
The strong Manchester sales come after BKFC drew more than 20,000 spectators for its Sturgis event. The promotion will also head to Fenway Park in Boston later this month as it continues to expand its footprint.
Feldman believes the latest numbers are another sign that BKFC is gaining ground in the combat sports market.
“This comes off the back of over 20,000 people being in attendance for BKFC Sturgis at the weekend and ahead of us taking over the iconic Fenway Park in Boston later this month.”
“Our ambitions are huge for BKFC as we look to truly establish ourselves as the number two combat sports promotion on the planet.”
With more than a month still remaining before Till and Romero meet, BKFC 94 is already shaping up to be one of the promotion’s biggest events in the UK.
