With UFC Freedom 250 just days away, the promotion is giving fans a different look at one of its fastest-rising heavyweight stars.
UFC released a new promotional video, “The Real Side Of Josh Hokit,” offering a glimpse into the life of the undefeated contender before his biggest fight yet against Derrick Lewis on Sunday, June 14, at the White House’s South Lawn.
Pulling back the curtain
Hokit has quickly become one of the division’s most talked-about names. He stormed through his first two UFC appearances before earning praise for his thrilling battle with former title challenger Curtis Blaydes.
His in-cage success, however, has only been part of the story. Fans have also embraced his exaggerated personalities, including the “Trash-Talking Vato,” “The Arrogant Title Contender,” and “The Incredible Hok.” Although, other fighters say otherwise.
The new video explores Hokit’s college wrestling and football roots while explaining how “The Incredible Hok” persona came to life.
Biggest stage of his career
UFC has heavily promoted Hokit as a future heavyweight star. Undefeated and impossible to ignore, he now heads into the highest-profile matchup of his career.
Against former title challenger Derrick Lewis, Hokit gets the opportunity to show that the growing hype surrounding his name is justified.
