Max Holloway believes his striking will be the difference when he meets Conor McGregor in their long-awaited rematch at UFC 329 on July 11 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. As McGregor prepares to end his five-year absence from the Octagon, Holloway is eager to prove he still owns the best boxing in the promotion.

Holloway stands by his “best boxer” claim

Known for his high-volume striking and elite cardio, Holloway welcomes the challenge of facing one of the UFC’s most dangerous punchers. Speaking to New York Post Sports, the former featherweight champion said fans will finally get to see his boxing against McGregor.

“I can’t wait to go out there and show you guys what’s up.”

“I’m the best boxer in the UFC and you guys get to find out come July 11.”

Holloway praises McGregor’s boxing ability

McGregor famously crossed over into boxing for a 2017 bout against Floyd Mayweather Jr., and Holloway acknowledged the Irish star’s performance while remaining confident in his own skills.

“A lot of people think that Floyd was carrying him, but if he was, if he wasn’t, I think he did well, man… He’s a really good boxer, but unfortunately, he got to see me.”
