One of boxing’s most talked-about matchups is now official. UFC CEO Dana White confirmed that Ryan Garcia and Conor Benn will meet on Sept. 12 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas during Mexican Independence Weekend. The fight is expected to headline a major boxing card under White’s growing involvement in the sport.

Dana White Confirms Blockbuster Fight

White announced the bout on social media, officially putting an end to months of speculation.

“It is official.” 

“Ryan Garcia vs. Conor Benn is signed and is taking place September 12th.” 

Both Fighters Enter on Winning Streaks

Garcia carries a 25-2 record with 20 knockouts. He last competed in February, earning a unanimous decision win over Mario Barrios.

Benn enters the matchup with a 25-1 record and 14 knockouts. The British contender is coming off a dominant decision victory over Regis Prograis in April.

“He is facing Conor Benn, who has 25-1 with 14 knockouts.”
