The UFC is heading back to Edmonton, Alberta, with the promotion officially scheduling a Fight Night event at Rogers Place on Oct. 17. It will be the city’s second UFC card in less than two years.
Edmonton Gets Another UFC Event
The announcement was made Sunday through the UFC’s Canadian broadcast partner, Sportsnet. No bouts have been confirmed yet, as the promotion has only finalized its schedule through mid-September.
This will be the fourth UFC event held in Edmonton, continuing the promotion’s recent push to bring more events to Canadian fans.
Canada Continues to Land UFC Cards
Edmonton last welcomed the UFC in November 2024. That event featured Brandon Moreno taking on Amir Albazi in the main event, while Erin Blanchfield faced Rose Namajunas in the co-main event.
Since 2023, the UFC has increased its presence across Canada through agreements to host events in multiple provinces. With the upcoming October show, Edmonton will match Vancouver for the most UFC events held in the country during the post-pandemic era, with two each. Toronto, Montreal, and Winnipeg have each hosted one event during that span.
