Bella Mir is getting her shot at the UFC. The daughter of former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir will compete on Season 10 of Dana White’s Contender Series, where a win could earn her a UFC contract.

Mir is reportedly scheduled to face Alex Apodaca during Week 3 on Aug. 25, 2026, in Las Vegas. The matchup was first reported by social media account themmamatchmaker.

Mir Brings Wrestling Credentials Into MMA

Mir enters the bout with an unbeaten 4-0 professional MMA record. Three of her victories have come by first-round submission. The 22-year-old has also continued to compete in Brazilian jiu-jitsu while developing her MMA career. Her biggest accomplishment, however, came on the wrestling mat.

Mir finished her college career as an NCAA national champion at 145 pounds, adding another major achievement to a résumé that has long made her a promising prospect.

Her connection to the UFC also goes back several years. In 2023, the promotion named Mir its first NIL ambassador while she was still competing in college wrestling. Now, she has the opportunity to earn her place on the UFC roster herself.

Apodaca Enters on Three-Fight Win Streak

Standing across from Mir will be Apodaca, who owns a 3-1 record and has won her last three fights. Her most recent victory came at Fury FC 122 on July 24, when she earned a unanimous decision over Devon McDonald.

Apodaca will look to hand Mir her first professional MMA loss while securing a UFC opportunity of her own. For Mir, the stakes extend beyond simply joining the promotion. She has previously said she wants to become the first active UFC fighter to compete at the Olympics.

With the 2028 Summer Olympics set to take place in Los Angeles, Mir could have an ambitious path ahead if she can first get past Apodaca and secure a UFC contract.
