The UFC Fight Night Belgrade co-main event could mark the end of one era and the beginning of another. Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jan Błachowicz welcomes undefeated City Kickboxing prospect Navajo Stirling in a fascinating clash at Belgrade Arena. Here is my full Błachowicz vs. Navajo Stirling Prediction.
For Błachowicz, this is about proving he still belongs among the elite after four consecutive fights without a victory. For Stirling, it’s the opportunity every prospect dreams of: defeating a former champion and instantly entering the title conversation.
Can the legendary “Polish Power” spoil another undefeated contender’s rise, or is this the night the torch officially gets passed?

Jan Błachowicz vs. Navajo Stirling Odds
Jan Błachowicz +260 (3.60) | Navajo Stirling -320 (1.31)
Despite Błachowicz’s championship pedigree and years spent competing against the very best at 205 pounds, UFC betting sites heavily favor the younger Stirling. The line has continued moving toward the unbeaten New Zealander after opening much closer to -200, suggesting bettors believe youth, activity, and momentum outweigh experience. This despite Stirling accepting the fight on short notice.

Keys to victory for Jan Błachowicz
- Turn it into a grinding fight: Błachowicz’s best chance is to slow Stirling down with clinch work, takedowns, and top control. The less space Stirling has, the less effective his speed becomes.
- Punish every entry: Jan still carries fight-changing power. He needs to make Stirling pay every time he steps into range with heavy counters, body kicks, and his trademark right hand.
- Cut off the cage: Chasing Stirling around the Octagon plays directly into the younger fighter’s strengths. Błachowicz has to pressure intelligently and force exchanges against the fence.
Keys to victory for Navajo Stirling
- Use speed and movement: Stirling should stick behind his jab, circle constantly, and make Błachowicz reset over and over. The veteran’s slower footwork is his biggest advantage.
- Keep the volume high: Winning rounds with combinations and activity is more important than chasing a finish. If Stirling controls the pace, he’ll force Jan to fight at an uncomfortable tempo.
- Stay off the fence: Błachowicz is most dangerous when he can clinch or mix in his wrestling. Stirling needs to keep the fight at kicking range and avoid giving the former champion opportunities to slow the fight down.
Father Time stops for nobody
There was a time when Jan Błachowicz was the man nobody wanted to fight. He neutralized elite kickboxers with intelligent pressure, vicious leg kicks, underrated wrestling, and the famous Polish Power that could change a fight with one punch. He handed Israel Adesanya his first MMA defeat, dominated Aleksandar Rakić before the injury stoppage, and held UFC gold during one of the deepest eras in the division.
Of course, Błachowicz did not suddenly become a bad fighter. The problem is that he’s almost 44 years old. Watching his recent fights, the decline isn’t dramatic, but it’s noticeable. Against Bogdan Guskov, he remained dangerous throughout and nearly finished the fight late after weathering heavy pressure early.
Yet there were moments in that fight that simply didn’t exist a few years ago. Instead of slipping out of range and resetting, Błachowicz spent longer standing in the pocket. His footwork looked heavier. His blitzing combinations lacked the same explosiveness. Even his trademark body kicks and leg kicks arrived just a fraction slower.
Those tiny differences become massive against younger, faster opponents. Jan still has his Polish Power, but the speed simply isn’t there.
Stirling may be arriving at exactly the right moment
This feels like perfect timing for Navajo Stirling. The undefeated City Kickboxing prospect has improved every time we’ve seen him compete. His decision wins over Ivan Erslan and Rodolfo Bellato showed patience and composure. Then he began sitting down on his punches, stopping Bruno Lopes before dismantling Ion Cutelaba with a second-round TKO.
He’s becoming more complete with every outing. Stirling fights behind a crisp jab, mixes in long-range kicks, manages distance well, and has proven he can grapple when necessary. He’s not simply a kickboxer relying on athleticism. His all-around game continues to develop under Eugene Bareman and the City Kickboxing coaching staff.
Just as importantly, his team knows exactly what Błachowicz brings. City Kickboxing has already spent 25 minutes preparing for Błachowicz when Israel Adesanya challenged him, and Carlos Ulberg recently earned a decision victory over the former champion. While every matchup is different, the game plan against Jan isn’t unfamiliar territory for the gym.
Expect Stirling to fight behind the jab, use lateral movement, mix front kicks to the body, and stay disciplined rather than chasing a finish. If he forces Błachowicz to repeatedly restart exchanges, he’ll gradually pull ahead on volume. He might even go for a few takedowns, as he did versus Ion Cutelaba. The only asterisk here is that he is taking the fight on short notice.
Jan Błachowicz vs. Navajo Stirling prediction
This feels like one of those fights where the scorecards will be closer than the UFC odds suggest. Błachowicz is still competitive with elite opposition, and it’s difficult to picture Stirling completely finishing a former champion who has made every recent opponent work for every round.
But youth eventually catches everyone. Stirling appears to be arriving at exactly the right moment. He’s faster, more active, technically sharp, and continues improving every fight. Expect him to stay disciplined behind his jab, avoid prolonged exchanges, and slowly outpoint the veteran over three rounds.
Błachowicz vs. Stirling Prediction: Navajo Stirling defeats Jan Błachowicz via unanimous decision.
